From a more delicate taste
The Theba Pisana, commonly known as the “little snail” is found all over the Mediterranean basin. It is species that is typical of the dune environments, but it also pushes inland, especially when close to rivers. It has the habit of summering in exposed areas (plants stems, fences), often in numerous groupings.
The shell is globular in shape, lightly squished as juvenile forms, with a diameter of 15-20 mm. The color is white-based with various thicknesses of brown stripes, which but which may also be absent. It is appreciated for its delicate taste.
