The uniqueness of the Helix Aspersa is in the diameter of its shell, which may grow to as many as 35mm, with an intensely-colored exterior, a well-defined border and an exceptionally substantial thickness. Their coloration ranges from tones of green to hues of yellow and may be decorated with as many as five spiraling bands with varying degrees of definition, with mixes of yellow or white. It is one of the most sought-after snails in the culinary world.
